Beech Boys Draw

Rochdale's Under 18 side shared 6 goals with their Stockport County counterparts at a wet and windy Dark Lane on Saturday morning.
Having fallen behind after 20 minutes Chris Beech's side raced into a 3-1 half time lead courtesy of goals from Ben Wharton, his 21st of the season, Kyle Lambert and Under 16's player Dennis Sherrif. Unfortunately though Dale could not hold onto their lead, conceding twice in the first 15 minutes of the 2nd period.
Chris was happy with many aspects of the performance, if not the outcome.

" Even though we did conceded first we made a good start, created 6 chances to score and took 3 of them.We talked at half time about concentration levels and keeping a second half clean sheet but a poor 20 minutes cost us and we never really recovered to get the win"
" Overall it was a good performance especially when you consider that injuries to key players meant that we forced into 3 changes during the game. Having been 3-1 up we should have been tighter in the 2nd half and we turned the win into a draw"
