Rochdale Reserves 4 Blackpool Reserves 2

Rochdale's second string signed off with a flourish as they completed their fixtures with a very good 4-2 win over their Blackpool counterparts.

The team was again made up entirely of Chris Beech's Under 18's players and they did not let him down as the clubs top scorer Ben Wharton

was again on the scoresheet  bagging his 23rd goal of a very productive season .The remaining goals were added by fellow 2nd year scholars Simon Williams  and Andy Brown with first year defender Julio Barnes also getting in on the act with a header from a corner. 

Like the first team the Reserves have finished the season strongly, this being a 3rd successive win with 13 goals coming in those 3 games.

Ben, Simon, Andy and all the other 2nd year scholars now face an anxious wait to see if manager Keith Hill is going to offer them a full time contract for next season.
