Ben is a former Manchester United trainee who having spent time on loan at home town club Doncaster Rovers then moved to Bradford City for whom he made 125 appearances scoring 4 goals before moving to Spotland on loan in February 2007.
A fast direct right winger Ben proved an instant hit with the fans making 12 appearances and scoring 3 goals before being recalled by his parent club in April. Having enjoyed his spell at the club so much and having been released by Bradford he made the move across the Pennines permanent by signing on the dotted line from July 1st 2007.
