Expereinced striker Lee Thorpe has added his name to the roll call for when the players return for pre season training on Saturday 5th July by putting pen to paper on a six month contract.

The well travelled 32 year old arrived at Spotland from Brentford on 31/1/2008 and played 8 games in Dale colours, including one against his former club when he scored the opening goal in a 2-0 win at the end of March. Sadly his season eneded prematurely courtesy of the dead leg that he picked up against Grimsby in April before his well publicised broken arm on the journey to Darlington for the Play Off semi final 1st leg.

Though not at this moment fully fit due to his arm Lee is confident that he will be available for selection by the time August comes around.
