Youngsters in comeback win
Dale welcomed Euxton Girls and soon found themselves in a nail biting match.
Euxton stunned the home team by taking the lead three minutes into the game, when Dale could only half clear a corner, and the ball was swept into the net for the opening goal.
Dale tried to put their passing game together but Euxton were adept at breaking up the play, making for a scrappy first period.
With 20 minutes gone, and Dale trying to push forward, Euxton countered and their powerful centre forward raced onto a through ball and blasted them into a two goal lead.
Lizzie Paul and Zoe Cooney were battling hard in midfield, but Dale's passing seemed to have deserted them.
The second half started with Dale taking control of the game and driving Euxton back, with Anna Genders and Fiona Reddin pressing forward down the wings, supported by fullbacks Sophie Barton and Ashley Grindrod.
Euxton with their backs to the wall were defending fiercely and stifling Dale's forwards. Dale just could not find the breakthrough their efforts deserved.
But with twenty minutes left, Dale's luck changed when Candice Mather latched onto a loose ball in the box and slid it home from close range.
Dale raised the tempo, but chances went begging until a shot from Coral O'Keefe was spilled by the keeper, and Candice Mather was again on hand to level the scores.
The final ten minutes were frenetic with Dale driving forward and Euxton defending desperately. With four minutes to go, Coral O'Keefe broke through but saw her shot parried by the keeper. But, with great determination, she won the race, to slide the loose ball home for Dale's winner.
Dale were made to work hard, but showed great character in coming back from a losing position to claim a good win.
