"Bayles" In Management

Former Dale defender Dave Bayliss has taken his first steps into management as part of the trio of senior players currently in charge at Barrow FC.
" Bayles" along with Paul Jones & Darren Sheridan has agreed to accept responsibility for first team affairs for the foreseeable future, while the board assesses the requirements of a successor to Phil Wilson.

Since taking over at the Conference North Club the trio have masterminded an FA Cup draw against 1st division side Bournemouth who they face in a replay this evening as well as knocking local rivals Workington out of the Setana Shield following a penalty shoot out.

A former trainee at Spotland who made a total of 215 appearances for the club,scoring 5 goals,the 31 year old scouser left Dale for Luton Town in 2001 before moving on to Wrexham and had a short stint back here on loan in February 2006 adding a further 4 appearances to his total. He joined Barrow in November 2006 having had a short stint at Lancaster City.
Since moving to Holker Street he has made 46 appearances, 12 of them this season.
