Whilst the football world agrees that things said in the dressing room or on the training pitch are better left where they are sometimes gems have to be brought to the light. From time to time we will do so.

In our midst at Rochdale we have the King of the One Liner, a certain John Doolan. He is a key member of the squad both on and off the pitch. On the pitch he is a real leader, off the pitch he is at the very hub of all the banter with his fantastic Scouse wit shining through.

Yesterday we attended a training session to see how the lads are preparing for Saturday's big kick off and during a very competitive, short sided ,game our recently arrived left full back misplaced a pass and was greeted by the booming Doolan voice saying (with expletives removed)

       "I knew they'd shot the wrong Kennedy"
